EDA offers a range of economic development training and skills development for our members and others in the field of economic development.
Our Introductory and Advanced Community Economic Development Training Program (CEDTP) provides timely and practical information to community economic development decision makers, business and community members and support staff. Completion of these courses may be applied to the Certified Economic Developer (EcD) designation, recognized nationally and internationally. Each course is worth 5 points.
We have also partnered with the University of Calgary- Faculty of Continuing Education to offer a Professional Management Certificate- Economic Developers in order to help advance the level of post-secondary training for the profession.
Our Economic Development for Elected Officials Course has been designed specifically to address specific issues that elected officials face.
EDA’s Professional Development Fund helps members further their education in the field of economic development by offering financial support.
