Economic Developers Alberta aims to provide our members with the most up to date resources and best practice information on how to prepare for, respond to, and recover their businesses and economies from unanticipated disruptions, such as natural disasters or a man-made crisis.
Since 2013, we have been building organizational capacity in order to provide ongoing information, training and support for our members with respect to disaster preparedness, post-disaster economic recovery, economic resilience resources, tools, event announcements as well as opportunities to connect with peers through social media groups.
As economic development professionals it is in our best interest to make preparedness and resiliency a priority, and that is why this is a core part of our programming. We are proud of our collaborative partnership with IEDC, and their Restore Your Economy division, as they have been key in helping us move our ongoing programs forward.
