Community Economic Development (CED) Certificate
To obtain a CED Certificate, a total of 7 micro-credentials must completed by taking the following courses:
General Practitioners:
- Completion of 5 core courses.
- Establishing the Foundation (ETF)
- Business Retention & Expansion (BR&E)
- Business Investment & Attraction (BI&A)
- Community Economic Resilience (CER)
- Professional Ethics in Economic Development (PE) *can also be substituted with the EDAC or IEDC Ethics courses
- Establishing the Foundation (ETF)
- Completion of 2 optional courses.
Elected Officials:
- Completion of 5 core courses.
- Business Retention & Expansion (BR&E)
- Business Investment & Attraction (BI&A)
- Community Economic Resilience (CER)
- Economic Development for Elected Officials (EO)
- Professional Ethics in Economic Development (PE) *can also be substituted with the EDAC or IEDC Ethics courses
- Completion of 2 optional courses.
Upon completion, a Community Economic Development Certificate will be issued electronically.
Students with a CED Certificate can then apply to receive the PEcD designation.
