Match Factor is a pilot project lead by Economic Developers Alberta (EDA) and SuccessionMatching to match Alberta businesses ready to sell with investor partners and eventually newcomers to Canada.

This is where opportunity meets preparation. 

• Help find buyers for business owners wanting to sell their enterprises
  
• Attract investment to rural and urban communities
  
• Keep medium- to large-sized employers in the community
  
• Provide valuable employment for displaced persons from the Ukraine

In order to do that, the project helps Alberta businesses put together a transition plan; matches them with investors; and will ultimately facilitate the employment of skilled, available Ukrainian people displaced by ongoing war in their region. 

SuccessionMatching has already identified a number of capital investors interested in purchasing and partnering with suitable Alberta businesses.

EDA Members are being encouraged to identify businesses in their communities, ready to transition, who would benefit from participation in the project.
