The Canadian Executive Service Organization (CESO) is one of Canada’s leading volunteer-based development organizations. Since 1967, through partnership and the dedication of volunteers that are highly-skilled and experienced in their professions, CESO has completed more than 46,000 assignments focused on improving the economic and social well-being of peoples across Canada, and in more than 120 countries. EDA knows that economic developers have a unique skill set that can help to create vibrant and well balanced communities. By collaborating with CESO, EDA is able to provide its members with a volunteer opportunity that will enhance their personal and professional development, while giving back to the global community.
As a CESO Volunteer Advisor, you will have the opportunity to share your skills and expertise with clients and partners through short-term, high impact economic development assignments that produce immediate, sustainable results in Aboriginal communities in Canada and in many other countries around the world.
How it Works:
CESO begins by identifying the needs of its clients, which allows each assignment to be designed around the specific skills and knowledge in demand. We then match the right Volunteer Advisor with the expertise to deliver the assignment. Once selected, the Volunteer Advisor connects with the client to put together a proposed workplan.
All projects are supported by a team of dedicated staff in CESO’s offices in Montreal, Ottawa, and Toronto. Read about the CESO assignment process here.
