Climate change, carbon offsets and the “carbon economy” are becoming common words and phrases. However, there are many different views and unanswered questions, especially for farmers, ranchers and other rural enterprises.

Olds College and Economic Developers Alberta (EDA), have developed a one day high-value learning seminar to address a broad range of important business issues, such as: (1) global environmental investment trends, (2) the link between the carbon economy and sustainable rural development, (3) the current status of Canadian carbon policies and regulations, (4) the verification of carbon offsets, (5) the aggregation of carbon offsets and commercial transactions, and (6) advice on how farms, ranches and rural enterprises can get involved.

During the day, participants will have a number of opportunities to talk with the experts. This will be a unique business learning experience, in a wonderful facility.

Price $250 +GST, includes luncheon.
