Investment 101 Training

Investment partners of the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada will have an opportunity to attend Investment 101 Training in Alberta this April. 

A course originally designed for investment business development officers working within Canadian Embassies and Consulates, this training provides participants with a general overview of investment promotion, prospecting, and services functions.  Each session provides a great networking opportunity and a dynamic forum to discuss roles and responsibilities, while consolidating federal, provincial, regional and local partnerships. 

Benefitting from an experienced team of presenters, participants will learn to:

• Identify the roles and responsibilities of key stakeholders and the investment network 
• Learn factors motivating investors to choose Canada
• Develop a basic outcall program
• Prepare for the first meeting with a potential investor
• Understand the importance of, and how to provide investment aftercare.

In conjunction with Economic Developers Alberta, this 1.5 day of training will be held April 20-21^st at the Kananaskis Delta Hotel.
