Professional Development

EDA endorses and supports the economic development program offered by the University of Waterloo (U of W) in cooperation with the Economic Developers Association of Canada (EDAC).

The goal of the program is to enhance the professional qualifications of local economic development professionals through certificate, diploma and now fellowship courses in economic development.

The program is comprised of several components:

·         Certificate in Economic Development

·         Diploma in Economic Development

·         Ec.D.

·         EDAC Fellowship Program (Year 3)

·         Certified Economic Developer

 

Funding for this program can be accessed through EDA (for EDA members), through EDAC (for EDAC members) and through ICCI.
