May 11, 2009: Canada's Economic Action Plan initiative improves local recreational facilities- Recreational Infrastructure Canada Program accessible to Alberta communities. Local hockey rinks, swimming pools, and other community sites throughout the West will be eligible to receive funding for upgrades, renovations, and fix-ups thanks to the new Recreational Infrastructure Canada Program (RInC) in Canada's Economic Action Plan. Funding for the RInC program is now available through Western Economic Diversification Canada.

 

April 2, 2009 (Jasper, AB): EDA Recognizes Excellence in Economic Development in Alberta

Last night the Economic Developers Association of Alberta (EDA) presented its annual Awards of Excellence during the Minister’s Dinner & Awards Banquet at the Jasper Park Lodge.  These awards honour Alberta communities and individuals for excellence in business attraction, retention, expansion and marketing.

October 15, 2008: The Alberta Community and Co-operative Association (ACCA) seeks rural communities that are interested in exploring the potential for co-operative innovation. With funding from the Rural Alberta Development Fund, ACCA has launched a Rural Co-operative Outreach and Development Project.
