Leann has a diverse background in the public, private and non-profit sectors.  For over a decade, Leann served as the Mayor’s Executive Assistant for Community & Economic Development in The City of Calgary. As Vice President of Promoting Calgary Inc., Leann took a lead role in developing a branding strategy for Calgary, crafting the community economic development plan, establishing the Calgary Sister Cities Commission and developing an international marketing strategy based on international trade and investment opportunities.

More recently, Leann served as President of the Organization of Women in International Trade, a global non-profit organization whose mission is to foster international trade and the advancement of women in business; as well as President of Blue Heart Consulting, a marketing and fund development service for non-profits.
